Creates awareness of features and benefits of new, as well as, existing camping, hiking and boating product; Highlights the Camping and Marine departments and camping/marine merchandise to our customers; This source of information will be of value to a variety of customers, from the avid hiker to the occasional camper or water sports enthusiast.
Boater Safety Course: May 2, 2010
Bass Pro Shops will be hosting a Boater Safety Course at our store location in Auburn, NY on Sunday May 2ed 2010 from 9am-5pm. The course will be held in our Seminar room next to Avicolli's in the mall. There is a $35 fee for supplies toward the course, and Ralph Gray will be instructing. Fly Fishing Course: April 24th and May 8th
There will be a Fly fishing course being held here on April 24th and May 8th from 8:00am- 5:00pm each day. You need to register in advance by calling the store at 315-258-2700 and ask to be transferred to the Flyshop. Space is limited. Mike DeTomaso will be the instructor.
Spring Turkey weekend events: April 6, 2010 - April 25, 2010
Come and take advantage of our Spring Hunting Turkey events here at our store starting April 17 with Hevi Shots Mike Joyner at 12:30 on "Patterning your shotgun". Pro staffer Tony D'Agostino will be here at 2:00 answering your questions on spring turkey hunting. At 2:30 and 4:30 Mike Joyner will be going over the proper setups on "How far is too far".
-On April 18th Pro Staffer Jason Barns will be here at 2:00 with tips on "Bringing in that tom".
-On April 24th Hunters Specialties Pro Staffer Ron Toth will be here at 11:00 with Understanding wild turkey (why they do what they do) and at 1:00 with Taking their temperature (reading their vocabulary) At 2:00 Jason Barns will be discussing the best techniques for a successful turkey hunt.
-On April 25th Jason will be returning to discuss the best way to use friction calls. So come join us these two week end for the seminars and to take advantage of the sales too.

Fish Feeding Frenzy: Be sure to "catch" our fish feeding "frenzy" show every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at noon at our 22,000 gallon native fish aquarium. The feeding is one of the most popular events at Bass Pro Shops. Learn about native New York fish and watch the water boil as our store fisheries biologist feeds them lunch such as live minnows, crawfish, worms, food gel and fish pellets. Kids can join in on the fun as well and help our biologist throw worms into the water.
Be sure to test your shooting skills at our laser shooting arcade.
Merrit Badges: Our skilled associates can help your scout troop members earn merit badges in activities such as Fishing, Fly Fishing, Camping or Archery. Information is available by contacting the store at 315-258-2700.
Tours: If your Scout, school or other group is interested in an educational tour of the store, Bass Pro Shops can customize one that's right for your party. The wildlife displays, outdoor equipment, painted wall murals and other interesting subjects in the store make for an enthusiastic store tour.
